Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data RYCO collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than dense legal text. If anything is unclear, you can always email us at martin@ryco.pt.
What information we collect
Right now, RYCO is a waitlist for a product we haven't launched yet. The only personal data we collect through this site is what you give us when you sign up for the waitlist:
- Your email address.
- Your answer to one optional question about your situation (for example, what brings you to Portugal). You don't have to answer this to join the waitlist.
We don't currently ask for any other personal information, such as immigration documents, ID numbers, or financial details, through this website.
Why we collect it
We use your email address (and your optional answer, if you give one) for one purpose: to contact you about early access to RYCO and to keep you updated on our progress. We don't use it for anything else, and we don't sell it.
Our legal basis for using your data
We rely on your consent. By ticking the checkbox and submitting the waitlist form, you're telling us it's okay to email you about RYCO. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see “Your rights” below), and we will stop contacting you.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website and the waitlist. We don't run our own servers or databases for this — instead:
- Tally (tally.so) hosts the waitlist form itself and stores your submission on our behalf. Tally hosts this data within the EU.
- Vercel hosts this website (the pages you're browsing right now).
We don't share your data with anyone beyond these two providers, and we don't sell or rent it to third parties.
How long we keep your data
We keep waitlist submissions for as long as the waitlist is open and for a limited period afterwards while we decide whether and how to launch. If we do launch RYCO as a full product, we'll ask you to confirm your details again before using them for anything beyond the waitlist. If you ask us to delete your data at any point (see below), we will do so.
Your rights, and how to request deletion
You can ask us, at any time, to tell you what data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it entirely. To do this, just send an email to martin@ryco.pt from the address you signed up with, and let us know what you'd like us to do. We'll action deletion requests promptly.
Changes to this policy
As RYCO develops, this policy will need to change too — especially once we start offering the full product rather than just a waitlist. We'll update this page when that happens.
